Advanced Water Engineering, Inc. offers many methods of producing De-Ionized Water (DI). We offer dual bed De-Ionization by ion exchange, Mixed bed De-Ionization by ion exchange, two pass and multipass Reverse Osmosis, and E-Cell® electrodeionization (EDI). We also offer DI water heaters.
We also offer small DI systems such as Laboratory DI systems that provide reagent grade to Type I water. They range from 1 to 10 liters per minute. Some provide Rnase and Dnase free water. These systems are also available with an integrated Reverse Osmosis system.
LOW FLOW CARTRIDGE BASED DI SYSTEMS SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Hydra Dl Series is a pre-assembled cartridge system that provides deionized water using a staged filtration process. Water purification is provided using a 3-step process. Stage (1) removes particles greater than 5 micron, chlorine, and organics. Stages (2 & 3) are mixed bed deionizers designed to remove all dissolved minerals. The Hydra Dl series includes all cartridges and Resistivity light for a total turnkey system.
A variety of options are available including remote dispensing gun, 0.05 micron hollow fiber UF filter, and combination high-purity/sub-micron cartridge. Reverse Osmosis pretreatment systems are also available.
The model HF-2520 ( designed for up to 2-literes per minute) takes three cartridges, usually our CT-10 followed up by two AFMBD10-2520 cartridges. This system has 5 micron filtration, dechlorination and organics removal and 1800 grains of Mixed Bed De-Ionization.
The Model HF-4520 (designed for up to 6-litres per minute) takes three cartridges, usually our CT-10BB followed up by two AFMBD10-4520 cartridges. This system has 5 micron filtration, dechlorination and organics removal and 3200 grains of Mixed Bed De-Ionization
A 200k-ohm green/red water quality light is standard with higher water quality lights optional at no charge.
An optional 0-20 meg digital readout can also be added.
As an option, for low daily use systems, we can provide a matching MP series Reverse Osmosis System. This system is almost a necessity for lab grade water. It removes unwanted light organics and most bacteria and pathogens from the water. In addition, it removes as much as 98% of the dissolved solids in the water, thereby greatly lengthening the life of expensive cartridges. The cartridges should last at least 10x longer with this RO. It also includes a self-pressurizing reservoir tank. Larger sizes are available.
The Reverse Osmosis membrane life is typically 3 years but most last many more. Replacement cost is minimal. Replacement filter cartridges cost is minimal/set and will last 1-6 months, depending on real water use. Filters are sold in cases of 4 sets.
As an option, we can provide a 0.2-micron nominal post filter
