Advanced Water Engineering, Inc. provides ion-exchange systems to provide or boost recycled water on circuit board washing or cleaning machines. The equipment typically consists of pure water fill equipment followed by organic adsorbants, Heavy metal scavengers, and cation and anion polishers. Tank material is usually Polyglass® for room temp systems and Vinyl-ester tanks on systems that clean over 120°F.
Heavy metal scavengers are used to remove Lead or other metals from the wash stream from circuit board cleaning. Water quality can be as good as 18Mega-ohm/cm after recycling.
We have off-the-shelf systems ready for use or individual systems can be custom designed for any application. We also provide the exchange service for spent hazardous waste vessels.
We have over 400 systems either scavenging or recycling water from heavy metal rinsewaters at plating operations. These system can be regenerated at the recycling location, on-site, or off-site at one of our hazardous waste processing facilities. The heavy metal regenerant can be further processed by batch or continuous sludging or by metal recovery.
The scavenging systems simply remove unwanted metals from the waste stream for further processing. Recycling systems return the water to the process as DeIonized water.
Most of these systems are in PCB (Circuit Board) manufacturing operations but we also have systems in semi-conductor and other metal finishing facilities.
